After careful evaluation, we have decided to remove The Corner Room. All the current threads from that section are now moved to ‘Health & Relationships’ (Life 1). Over the next few days, our moderators will review all these threads and decide where these should be placed.
We have also formulated new rules for both Lifestyle forums, and they are available as links on top of both forums. Please spend a few moments to review those. For any questions, please feel free to contact a moderator of your choice.

would it be possible to post questions thats used to be posted in Corner room, in other forums. lets say health and relationships...
The langauge, references and discussion like the one used to be in CORNER ROOM should not be part of This Family Board in the first place... There are plenty of family and personal doctors out there... where concerned personnel can ask any thing, as they consider it not to be bad; surely they should not feel shy about it...

coOoLBreeze, genuine and serious questions/replies/posts that are substantial and pertain to the theme of this forum, even if they contain adult content, are OK, but only for the sake of non frivolous discussion. keeping in mind the fact that GS is a Pakistani family forum, there will be vigilant moderatorship in such threads specially, and posts that are not serious or informative will be removed.
i suggest you go through the guidelines also, a link for them is posted at the top of this forum :-)
this said, we mods are not here to enforce our personal wishes or preferences, we are here at guppies' service, to ensure the smooth running of the forums. we want to make rules and formulate limits keeping the preferences of guppies in mind as well, so your feedback is encouraged and most welcome...
we're still in the process of shaping this forum, so please add your two cents and your opinions too about what you would like to see here, keeping in mind that it is a family forum open to all guppies from all backgrounds and ages...

ppl do get carried away and that can ahppen anywhere anytime...why the axe on corner room, it could have been moderated with extra vigilance, but why totally removed...?
bad decision and im sure most guppies would agree. if GS is a family place, shouldnt such taboo stuff whichi is part of life remain inside a 'corner room' and not mixed in everywhere...!!??

Pakistan IRL has a big taboo on topics that used to be in CR, this was one place where people could actually discuss and share. Now its gone.

Family forum? I thought it was like a life forum, where people from all walks of life, religion etc could post their opinions the discussion at hand. Aren't we all one big happy family anyway?
Haris Zuberi and Tofibaba we get what you guys are saying, but its not like discussion has been totally discouraged or that overall GS will now be polluted. Serious discussions can be done right here in the lifestyles forum and the standards that are prevalent on GS will be maintained. Your suggestions for improvement are always welcome :)
Prince Ali there were many reasons why corner room was removed. I guess to put it in a nutshell it was not an overall constructive part of GS. In some cases it was informative, and we do plan to maintain that bit and you are encouraged to post topics in the lifestyles section that seek genuine answers for the sake of knowledge and not just pointless discussion.

Thats okay. I only felt comfy posting such things in Corner, as it was supposed to be an over 18 crowd, would rather not post in Lifestyles bout such things, eventhough I feel its a relevant topic. I'll wait and see what happens, if anything, or juss talk to ma friends bout it. Thanks. smile
hmmm :/ u sure Munni? there was no way to really ensure that the crowd that came into Corner was above 18, and the crowd that comes into family is usually mature too...
