his wife is pregnant in the film and their are scenes of her naked…was the actress really pregnant?

I agree, I really liked the movie too. It was so touching in so many ways. About the pregnancy, it didn't occur to me then but you are right they did show her naked while pregnant. It'd be interesting to know if she really was pregnant.

I really want to watch it. I don't think anyone else wants to see it w/ me so I'll have to catch it on dvd. Ralph Fienne has gorgeous eyes!!! sigh

Ok a bit of googling helped me come across an interview..SHE was NOT pregnant they used a prosthesis and make-up..very cool.
It's still in the theaters...recent release.
