if the projects were blocked then howcome you didn't mention that? You are just trying to pass things without information. For a second lets believe what you are saying now, can you provide information on what grounds did CJ (or ex-CJ) interfere or block these projects?
i have hardly talked about developments here, like i said this forum is filled with people wanting to bring democracy and the lotas back and hardly anything else gets discussed here.
well someone said that the projects are by the military, well no there not, there all private projects.
well here is the list of projects blocked and the reasons.
limitless/nakheels $80 billion city at hawks bay: well the project is stop cos of the silly excuse of beach should not be privatized, dnt forget french beach is allready private and they dnt have an issue with that and this happens all over the world
Emaars $65 billion islands in karachi - this must have been the most stupid excuse ever, courts are saying that they will destory mangroves, but with the help of google earth you can see that emaars islands are completly different to the mangroves ones.
Road projects:
road widening projects of ferozpur and canal roads in lahore- well courts are saying that they will chop down to many trees, but when they did it previously they had nothing to say and let them do it without interfering, and the gov. has itself said that trees taken out will be re-planted. so whats the issue.
on ferozpur road the reason is unknown,
there is also ring road blocked and numerous other road projects
Lahore sports city- this was a mega $6.2 billion sports city made by baktar of uae and punjab gov., unfortunatly courts didnt let him go ahead with the project, cos villagers were being replaced and even thought gov. was given them full compensation, irony is that, this happens with all projects in pakistan and happens all over the world including uk and usa,
mabarak center, lahore - if you go to ssc, the director of the project is a poster there and he himself has said that court is giving problems on the project and asking them to submit designs again and again, even thought LDA has approved them over 10 times and they say nothing is wrong with it.
PC hotel expansion, 42 story tower in lahore, stoped by the court, cos they think people will go to the top and spy on gov. buildings, LOL how stupid.
will i can just go on on the list is huge, but just look at the silly excuses made by the courts, this has lost pakistan bilions and billions of dollars as well as millions and millions of jobs, these could have boomed the economy even more.
