I attended an Asian wedding in London over the weekend. Some of the events made me feel very uncomfortable. The wedding was taking place in a school hall and as I was parking my car a van arrived with the food for the guests. The guy parked the van and was about to remove the food from it when a police car drove in and two cops wearing bullet proof jackets and guns in their hands approached the van and wanted to check what was in it and also wanted to know what the Asian gathering was all about. After satisfying that it was a wedding and also that the van was carrying nothing More lethal than food they left. Before leaving they assured the gathering that they would be patrolling the area in case Someone tried to create any racial problems. It is sad that things have come to this that the police have to check up on Asian gatherings and also patrol the area in case a racial attack took place by some whites.
Changing face of London and Britain and one which has changed for the worse.
It’s a wake call for Pakis to invest into buying some land back home…you never know at what time any one could be deported for being Muslim…500 UKian have already been announced for the deportation…
IMO, a time is coming in a little while, when ‘moderate’ Muslim will start thinking about their own insecurities abroad… incredulously it is not making any difference yet if the Paki girls are wearing sleeve less, shoulder less and back less short shirts and tight jeans showing belly buttons on the way to show the world how moderate they became…but the fact will remain the same they have a Muslim name ‘yet’…
I don’t think we should blame USAians or Ukians… we to blame ourselves for all this :-)
^ yeah britishpolice are very concerned about chinatown gangs and because (according to Gupshup) everyone isconverting to ISlam, police wants to make sure the asians are legit.
lolly,
I agree to you… but in reality this wont be easy for ‘men’ having families. On the other hand Mullahs are already leaving the country, who were used to give Khutba in the Mosques few days back… That shows their lost character…shame on them…
On the second thought, you can do better if you have a peace of mind. Standing and defending is good enough until people are clean in their past. For the deportation process, they can give any justification… I am just saying be prepared for the worst case…
ps: use decent language when addressing on a public board, tx....
dada jee, true. mullahs are part of the problem.. but also are the moderate muslims who have empowered them and always considered them 'pious' just because they run our mosques. thanks to some of these mullahs now our religion is entangled and twisted up with violence.
but whose job is it to un-do this? i for one beleive this can easily be undone by moderate muslim majority. by becoming best students, best neighbors, best employees, perhaps even finding time to volunteer and to sincerely think about ways to give something back to these wonderful countries in the west who have allowed us to prosper in their homeland.
Police saw a van with what looked like hairy scary men inside (I am assuming they were hairy) ...they have been briefed to look for anything suspect, this means anything from cars parked in strange places... and a number of others usually to do with asian young men
So the police came to check the guys out, they HAVE to wear the combat stuff for their OWN protection...because you never know!
The government has told them too...if they didnt and they got hurt because then its their own fault.
after they enquired as to the reasons behind the gathering..were satisfied but also had the presence of mind to stay around incase there was any trouble from others
now thats a GOOD thing.
They may have had info regarding the possiblity of something nasty happening so they stayed to from the point of public safety
The Black community has gone through this, the Irish community has gone through this...the tamil and kurd communitied have gone through this on a smaller scale.
The fact is that the security forces have to to this...and OK I agree its uncomfortable and encroaches on our privacy but is running off to our plot in Pakistan the solution....I reckon you guys have a rose tinted view of Paks...
even with these extreme security measures in the UK your lives in Pak wouldnt be better...especially if they had thought you had left UK because of the this!
Food served at weddings down in London is highly questionable anyway, so I think the police did a wonderful job ensuring the health and safety of the wedding guests.
