The Champion Series, Man U and hot dogs in July..

For all that I detest Man U, this idea to have a well-publicised tour of N.America is doing wonders for the game in the region.

Sure the reasons are purely financial and they’re looking at huge returns on their investment, but the americano audience is finally getting to see some quality football/soccer, as opposed to the boring drivel that is the MLS. Which is nothing more than a league featuring young players who weren’t Europe material or old players with funny hair well past their prime (think Valderrama).

They even managed to choos as much as they could out of media puller Beckham before shipping him off to Real Madrid’s Armada. Yankees and McDonalds gaye bharr main. This is da real powerhouse.

I managed to catch today's game against Juventus, and it looked more like a Harlem Globetrotter shootaround. High on quality, fancy movement and a real show for the audience.

The scoreline should have been at least 4-2 though, United's defence just went wanting in the last 20 min or so; this new keeper is impressive indeed.

These soccer clubs from Europe and South America (Manchester United, Club America of Mexico, Celtic of Scotland, Boca Juniors of Argentina, Juventus, AC Milan of Italy, Barcelona of Spain)
are trying to tap into the the lucrative market in US obviously.
Last week Man U played Clyb America Of Mexico at LA Collisiuem (Home of the USC Football). They won 3-1 and some 57,000 atteneded the game.

yeah the attendance has been very good. There were 79,000+ in attendance at Giants stadium for the Man U-Juve game in Jersey.

Local officials ghabra gaye hoen gaye, they'd prolly never even seen one-10th that attendance for any NY/NJ MetroStars err.. 'game' ever.

That was one freakin awesome match.

yeah this is the guy I was talkin about. He's one heck-uvva talented goalie.

it was indeed teaser.

Have you ever seen Manu play live? I went to see them when they played Villa a few years ago and although I'm not a big Manu fan, I have to admit that they have the best supporters.

Even though it was a home match for the Villains, the chants and cheers of the Manu fans completely smothered the Villa fans.

^^ wow look who's back. Havent seen you since.... hmmmmm oh yeah since Smith made your boys miserable and your new captain more confused then he already is. Welcome back.. and dont dissapear after every time your boys are humiliated cause in that case we wont get to hear from you a lot.

Dream on buds. I just thought I'd let you guys have a little fun and give you a chance to gloat a little about England’s recent loss of form. It’s only fair that you celebrate another country’s win cuz you don't really seem to be getting much of an opportunity with that rishwat eating paki team of yours! My assignments are now done and I’m more than ready to defend my country's honour (not that I'll need to cuz they're gonna kick some saf afwikan ass!)

Compared with other greats that have played between the sticks for M-United - Howard has yet a long way to go to prove himself! - The likes of Peter will be remembered for years - and Tim has a long way to go to achieve even a respectable status - There’s no way that he’s America’s number 1 - that belongs to Brad - and rightly so - I think he’s one of the most under-rated goalkeepers in the world.
