All the best stories in Pakistan are between the headlines.
Firstly a small if odd news item:
Parliamentarian Rukhsana Zuberi house broken into, and that too from the supposed well guarded parliamentry lodges. Now oddly enough no valuables were taken, in fact nothing was taken except for her computers hard disk being formatted.
So what was she doing right before the “robbery”
Well according to this article: *For some months, she was desperately trying to find out the names of those multinationals, and their powerful ‘friends’ in Musharraf-Aziz government, which amassed huge profits by manipulating the price of oil in Pakistan.
“Burglars” sneaked into her apartment in parliamentary lodges of Islamabad early this month. Yet to be arrested intruders showed no interest to locate cash or jewelry. They were rather more interested to break into the hard disc of the computer used by her to find out data she had been collecting on various shady doings of the state-run companies or oil connected multi-nationals. After locating the embarrassing data, the techno-savvy ‘burglars’ deleted it for good before leaving her apartment. *
