Before Muhammad was entrusted with Prophet hood at the age of 4 years, he used to go to cave Hira near Makkah and stayed there for many days mediating. This is the cave where he received first revelation of Quran.

Yes, I still feel I belong to the wilderness than a civil society.

Buddha wasn’t Buddha when he left everything behind though. He was just a confused soul, sheltered from the true world of suffering outside his palace. He reached Budhahood when he realized the need for balance in life, the ying and yang, detachment from desire and materialistic world. He became Buddha when he practiced mindfulness, compassion for all things, and his number one teacher: pain is inevitable but suffering is optional.
