I skimmed through but it sounded like the author was making a hero out of Zardari. Also, the title of the article should be: The Dumbest Nation in the World.

^ Brother you can diss Zardari as much as you like but nobody diss the Nation of Pakistan.
Even if it were conquered by India or anyone else... nobody can conquer the spirit of Pakistani's becuase the spirit that created our nation is something many men and women carry and until those people remain alive Pakistan is alive too.
Pakistan is not just a nation, the worlds first Islamic Republic is an ideology and a belief as well as a state on the map of the world and upon the minds of men and women.
You dont have to even be a Pakistani or a Muslim to have the essence of Pakistan in you... likewise you can be bought up in Pakistan and even in a Muslim house yet nothing will stop you becoming a stooge of evil.

Don't get me wrong Faris. I love Pakistan with all my heart. I've never had such a time like I did when I visited Pakistan twice.
But the fact is that Pakistan is a textbook example of a failed state.
And calling Pakistan a Islamic Republic is a joke. That may have been the goal when Pakistan was first created but currently it is far from a "Islamic" Republic - unfortunately.

This article seems to be another lullaby to perpetuate our lull. We mostly curse zardari for our problems but I think at the moment, we as a nation are a mess. We need to wake up and realize that we have stooped so low. we need to improve at every level and stop rhyming the lullabies.

True. But I don't think Pakistan needs to wake up...it is already awake. It just needs to stop being so lazy and greedy and take action. Politicians siphon off the wealth of the poor and the poor do nothing but reelect them for another term. I don't understand how someone can do that? I guess its either laziness or stupidity.

you don't speak ill of the departed and you don't speak ill of people in a crisis such as the 20 million Pakistanis in the floods. Pakistanis need to be and I am sure will be brae and strong in this their hour of crisis
