^ No syed. Even in a democracy, every party will not be able to cater to all the people in that country or state. That is the exact reason why we have a no. of parties fighting it out in a given election. The mandate to govern is also by a majority grouping.
In India where there is such diversities in language, race and culture, the number of parties aspiring to represent such groupings are natural to come into being. BSP is a party which cater to the dalits, manily kurmis in the north Indian planes. They have grown exponentially with a slid vote bank of Dalits. But their growth has now reached its peak, but still they are not able to gather enough seats in the state legislature to get power on their own. Only time they tasted power was with the help of BJP, a so called brahminical party and with the Yadavs. (Samajwad party). Now if they want to get to power again, they need to attract more of the other caste people. They know that and like a good oppurtunist they do all kind of dramas like organising a big brahmin melas and such things.
This is natural. Previous. BJP govt came into existace with so much of regional parties put together.Now the present Congress govt also has some regional parties, previously bitter opposed to the creation of India.
