^ oh nice! congrats! just be sure to exercise as well.
in order to lose weight....your caloric intake has to be less which is why the quantity is not much. Although I think eating 1 cup of fruits and veggies isnt considered little.
Drink plenty of water! and dont forget those 4 days after you complete your 3 day diet dont over eat...eat small portions of whatever you want.
Thanks Angel eyes! Yes I did excercise today though not yesterday. The quantity is less even though it doesn't seem less on paper. Its about 1000 calories which is low. But hey the lure is great, right!! Thanks for all the advice, I will increase water intake as you said. Don't know if I can stick to thsi diet though!!
i too tried to follow this diet but only day 1 hardly passed...and i didnt lose any weight..which in normal routine i do...couldn't continue after day 2 breakfast...it puts me in starvation mode :-/
This is not at a healthy way to lose weight. Ok it was/is used on certain patients before surgery but by no means should healthy ppl go for such diets. Drastic weight loss is temporary; you gain it back in the same amount of time you lose it. Hence go for a plan in which you'd lose weight gradually, it consist of small portions but more then 3 times a day and include a workout regime.

Totally correct Lusi!
I guess I used it because I had to lose 10 pounds at the time, and was getting frustrated so when my colleagues mentioned they were going to try this, I thought I'd do it along with them for motivation! After the 3 days, seeing that I had lost some weight, I got excited and went to low carb, hi protein kind of regimen, and have since followed a good eating schedule.
It seems to be good as it has a layed out plan to eat, instead of just eat 5 servings of fruit and veggies etc etc. I think most plans like Weight Watchers etc are successful because of this principle; "laying out what to eat". Even though it comes out to the same thing that is less calorie intake. Regarding not healthy, well generally speaking we eat so many unhealthy things along the way, anyways. Not all people do that, but the overweight anyways. I too need a jump start after being stuck on a pleatu for many many months infact have started gaining back. In the long term as you have said, its not a lifelong eating plan.

once again...this is only a 3 day diet. you wont gain the weight back if you continue a healthy diet and exercise afterwards.
it is completely insane that nurses (HEALTH CARE professionals) were so obsessed with loosing weight that they ignore the high in fat, saturated fat, and cholesterol part of this diet plan… 2 Tbsp PB and 2 Hot dogs any given day sound alarming.
I tried to Google for the credibility of this diet and this is what i got:
One more thing, you can achieve that “6 lbs in three days” target even if you eat 10 bananas/day for three days. All you are loosing is water and muscle mass… So THINK BANANAS!
you are right, loosing weight in a short time span does feel good.. errr well while you are on scale weighing yourself. but once you are infront of mirror or trying to put on that skinny black dress, you feel like pulling your hair… Surprise, you’ve not lost an inch.
But it’s a good thing that you are aware and aren’t following it all the time and have some other healthy habit to maintain your weight.
Day 2 Report:Jumping for joy!! Another pound lost!! Did I cheat? yes, but just a bit, 90% I stuck to the diet!! It feels good to see the initial weight loss so fast, instead of the 1 lb a week that uusllay happens. I know its water weight but in every diet you lose water weight first anyways!! Thanks Nik Sik, so much. Lets see, if I can stick to it today (day 3). How long did it take you to lose those 10 lbs and what did you eat on the 4 regular days? Did you still lose 3 lbs in the second "round" of the 3 day diet?
Yes, we can add condiments like salt pepper etc. I used Chicken hot dogs instead of beef, which have lesser calories and fat (though I ate more of them as one hot dog has only 70 calories).
I dont think anything is wrong with eating PB once a week because it is good cholestrol and not the bad kind and has lots of protein in it.
however...i really dont get the 2 hotdog deal. I would suggest to those doing this diet to use common sense and substitute it with something healthier.
Yes, we can get a low cal hot dog. I used a chicken one and a soy one.
Pepper and salt are fine.

Good for you girl!!!
I did not do a second round. But I stuck to smaller portions of a hi protein diet. Like I would eat more of chicken breast and veggies, very little rice. I lost that 10 lbs total in about 8 weeks. Which is really not too bad. I used to walk a mile at lunch time, them come back and have a quick lunch.
