'Eesa (Jesus), Yosef, Davud, Adam, Mikael (Michael), Jibrael (Gabriel), Benyamin...

Girls.
Mariam/Maria, Sarah, Natasha, Eden, Zara...

I like these names because they're both Koranic and Biblical, both Eastern and Western.

I don't like Persian names, they are a different culture from us and no Paki can pronounce them, at least Arabic is the liturgical language of our religion, Persian has nothing to do with our culture or religion, except maybe a few Persian-speaking foreign kings ruling over us in the past and as a result our language "naturalising" some words from it.

Some wise man once said (or typed) that one should name their children with such names that when they are growing up they should attempt to live up to their name! :slight_smile:
