Baby names for a girl!
So I've been looking high and low for a girls name that has meaning yet is easy to pronounce for none desi folk.
So far I have:
Rumaysah.
That's it!
The names that are already taken are:
Maryam
Asiya
Minahil
All of which I know have good meaning.
Other names taken: Sana, Imaan, Aneesa, Maria, Alia, Sehr, Sarvish.
Not really into fashionable names so looking for good meaningful names. Our first child is called Hirah.
Anyone come across any interesting girls names with good meaning lately?

My khala's kids are all named with the letter "h." She has three daughters and one of them is Hira. The eldest has a very common name, but I like the name of the youngest: Hooba/Huba. It means mohabbat and the pronunciation would be like how you say the word subha/morning. I think Hirah n Huba sound cute. Hanna, Hafsa, Haniya do as well.

We came pretty close to name our baby boy 'Zinedine Zidane' after the French footballer but ending up choosing another one, but I will always love this name too....such a pretty name to give a little boy :)

while i do agree with you on some other names, if kids are determined, any name will be a target, and if not the name, it'll be their height/hair/eyes/face/culture/whatever. kids can be mean. the possibility of mispronouncing a name bugs me way more.
