the biased nudity factor

Re: the biased nudity factor

The purpose of topless is to bare it all, I agree - and its in public so its not private - but still a woman at a topless beach is not doing it to seduce someone or arouse someone. Same is the case with tribal women. Its just the way they live.

Problem is with us. We have set standards of beauty, and if a woman does not pass that standard, we are ok to televise her like we do it with any animal. That is being racist. Whether she is beautiful or not, she should be treated at the same standard.

Re: the biased nudity factor

Diwana, those women dont live like that because they are poor. They can use leaves or animal skins to cover themselves up. They chose to live like that.

Re: the biased nudity factor

That is why my first choice was:

“because there is no concept of these areas to be hidden”

I think I covered that possibility also.

Re: the biased nudity factor

TLK Sb… Brazilian beaches kay agay say barhian…

a topless woman in Vegas/Times Square will not get same attention as any other city o US…

Similarly, tribal life is not normal… they can live nude… therefore… documentary was not R but PG…

:hmmm:

You see no diff in the two?

Re: the biased nudity factor

Just as the Fed steps in to curb an overheated market and stimulates a stagnant one by monetary expansion.

Re: the biased nudity factor

the question is- does it arouse you watching the tribal women dance around naked? Does it offend you in any way? If the answers if yes, then it should be censored.

The difference between a topless woman on a Brazilian beach and a nude tribal woman is that the former takes some care of herself while the latter does not remember when was the last time she bathed. Also, they don’t wear bras or anything to support their breasts, which means they don’t retain the shape you normally are accustomed to seeing on TV and around you. All of this is somewhat a requirement for a modern man to feel sexually aroused. Unless of course, you are into some weird sh*t.

Yes yes madam, I am into crazy ****. That is why I have subscribed to playbuffalo magazine

Re: the biased nudity factor

As already mentioned it’s about intent..

You could say the same about fine art.. It’s seen as acceptable to show nudity if the intention is not to titilate..

Re: the biased nudity factor

No kidding!

^What the heck was I thinking. What kind of comment did I post last night :smack:

Re: the biased nudity factor

stop getting your kicks from watching nangi putangi auratein on national geographic.

Re: the biased nudity factor

TLK, the answer to your question is that in that show you watched on National Geographic, the boobies were not very firm and full. Even the camera crew wasn’t aroused. So the moral of the story is, hot boobs = censoring needed, tribal boobs = no problemo.

Re: the biased nudity factor

I can’t believe I wrote all of the above and GS didn’t censor my post

Mod free month niksik baji! Mazay mazay.

Or do u mean the word boobies wasnt censored?
Dont think boobies get censored.
Boobies.

Re: the biased nudity factor

the word. My post was very factual and decent :snooty:

Re: the biased nudity factor

Regardless anyone gets excited or not.

Regardless, it is rated PG, G, R, or X by media.

Nudity is nudity.

Re: the biased nudity factor

Nudity is art?

Oh also, what about nursing mothers who sit feeding their babies without covers? Is that OK? Don’t tell me you have never seen that. I’ve seen it more often than I’d like it see the unnecessary exposure of an otherwise totally necessary and lovely act.
