The Bhutto's, PPP and Sindh

Re: The Bhutto's, PPP and Sindh

I was talking in overall terms and not just in relation to Sindh. Hate Zia as much as you like for other reasons but things were stable under him despite the problems on our western border. Inflation was under control. And Musharraf (1999-2002) was 10x better than this corrupt government

Re: The Bhutto's, PPP and Sindh

Some people can not think beyond their narrow confines of ethnic nationalism.

Re: The Bhutto's, PPP and Sindh

Inflation was very much there during Musharraf regime. Even all the problems we are facing today started back in 2006. Be it intensive loadshedding, scarcity of food items, gas load shedding. I remember Shaikh Rasheed justifying losing seats from his constituency by referring to these problems. I agree that current government has broken all the records of mismanagement and corruption.

Look who is talking. Better read title of the thread before raising your fingers on others.

Re: The Bhutto's, PPP and Sindh

Better read the Reverse Swing's post before blurting it out. He was talking about PPP's governance, not just development. If his post was about (still) rural Sindh then he would not have mentioned Nawaz.

As far as I am concerned, I would love to see all Pakistan develop including rural Sindh. Development can not be confined to only certain areas. Anyone who try to do it will fail miserably.

Re: The Bhutto's, PPP and Sindh

I was responding to Reverse Swing's post for his referring to these regions. When the topic of the thread is about PPP, Bhutto's contribution for Sindh and someone refer to these regions, should I not take that for Sindh. How could you then refer to my confinement for a region. Plz don't try to give impression that you are the only well wisher of Pakistan who love to see developed Pakistan by labeling others narrow minded ethnically confined ppl.

Re: The Bhutto's, PPP and Sindh

Every government right from Liaqat Ali Khan to onwards neglected rural Sindh. PPP is not excluded either, infact it bears more responsibility as it has always used Sindh card and represented rural Sindh. Dictators like Ayub Khan, Yahya Khan, Zia-ul-Haq and Musharraf not only neglected Sindh, but actually destroyed rural Sindh. Go to Mirpur Mathelo, if you go to Fauji Fertilizer Factory or Fertilizer Plan Daharki, it is enclosed with all kinds of facilitites including schools, parks, it looked like as you entered in a different country. All employes are imported not a single local employed. Similarly is the case of cantomenments or other projects like Union Texas Badin. When you come out of the enclosed areas, at the entrance gate you see local children, women, men with torn clothes begging. Shame on these SOBs which considered Sindh as their concubine. Youwill find hardly any change since partition in rural Sindh. People sometimes ask what benefit it got by seperation from India???? Its condition is worst than pre-partition.

Re: The Bhutto's, PPP and Sindh

Exactly, thats my point and what I experienced. ppl are really in worst conditions and there grievances are increasing day by day irrespective of changes in governments.
