that is, from those directed by the brilliant Umer Anwar…

Aadat / Jal (2003)
Waqt / EP (2004)
Kahani Muhabbat Ki / Strings (2005)
Jhuki Jhuki / Sheraz Uppel (2005)
Mera Bichra Yaar / Strings (2005)

My pick would be Jhuki Jhuki, the song and the video are fab and TOTALLY in sync! It would be perfect if it were not for that fake beard!! But still great stuff!
Videography, Concept, DOP, Direction - a.k.a. jo videos mujhe samaj mein aayi:
Strings - Anjaane (2001)
Ali azmat - Na re Na (2005)
supreme ishq - anarkali (2004)
Fuzon - Khamaaj (2004)
and umer anwar cant do much other than having a very good print and you're always hoping that you're watching a story but it just has to end as if there was nothing to start off with i.e. kahani mohabbat ki, mera bichra yaar, etc. the dude's only good with cinematography...he needs to work on his creativity skills in order to keep the viewer glued to the tv set so that the viewers dont just run away and say kya waqt zaya thi, fazool concept, blah blah. i have lost all hope to expect something good from this dude after watching kahani mohabbat and bichra yaar. i'd rather go and watch jawad bashir with his supposedly funny skits in his videos.
In my view the best vdo by far is Na Re Na. Creativity at its best. And Ali Azmat to me is one of the best entertainer/vocalist/artist in the whole wide world. Kudos to Saqib Malik too.
I also like the work of mystic media. Specially one of their vdos Jane Kiya Hay Teri Aankhon Mein by Abbas Ali Khan was a "cute" piece of work.
OK, what I meant was the best from what Umar Anwar has directed. 'Videography' means the stuff he's done so far for various bands.
But yeah, Na Re Na is an awesome vid and I'm a huge fan of Saqib Malik. He did a great job in * Khamaj* too; I just cant wait till he comes out with his film. Jami ofcourse, rocks. We've seen nothing like Deewana in Pakistan or for that matter, that part of the world. It was ALL CGI animated [yup, EVERYTHING -- there were no "sets" as such] and it really sets the rung HIGH for all the future video directors.
