I was in a talk by the respected Shaykh who taught us that:

When faced with a situation when someone does you an injustice, people feel hatred towards that person … When evil regimes attack Muslims and we cry and scream for justice and even retaliate against that person and nothing happens. Why is it that people can be let off like that? It is because that “hatred” is the act of revenge.

We are told to purge our hearts of all hate from anyone … for sure if we do not take revenge then Allah (SWT) is the Best Bestowers of our Affairs … and He will take it upon Himself to give Justice. So if we use hatred to retaliate know that we resort to our own methods, but what is better than having Allah fight your battles for you …

So remember if anyone does you an injustice struggle to feel no hatred and leave it upon Allah (SWT) and you will see miracles happens.

But surely if that person is just waiting for Allah to punish him instead, its like he has never forgiven him in the first place right?

I hear so many people saying stuff like "dont worry Allah will punish them for their sins" blah blah blah but thts not really cleaning away hatred for tht person if ur just hoping that someone else will punishes them instead.
