The best part at your wedding ceremony/ reception..

Re: The best part at your wedding ceremony/ reception..

I was expecting the groom to :hayaa: when the bride walked in. He just stood there, all serious. He says now he was annoyed cz the pagree was too tight, the suit was too tight and the shoes were too tight. bechara.

There were a few i guess, one was sitting in the hall and then hubby entering the hall with his dad, brother and a few cousins. As he walked toward me, it made the whole thing seem a lot more real, prior to this, and even after lol, i was just sort of spaced out the whole time lol.
Another moment would be when i took my seat on the morning of the walimah, and i spotted hubby standing some distance away, he was looking at me and when he caught my eye, smiled, my heart skipped a beat as cheesy as it sounds:).

:rotfl:

im getting married in March and my fiance is really sweet now and romantic, i hope he gets up and helps me to my seat like you guys have mentioned but knowing him he will feel kinda shy with everyone watching me..lol.....he's very reserved infront of my dad even though we already had our nikkah over a year ago... he already tells me that at the airport when everyone comes to greet us he gonna feel so weird standing there with flowers...lol....

i hope my wedding day is all that everyone says it is....i hope i can enjoy it and not be to busy taking pics and completing guest duties.....after all the planning and stressing i just wanna relax and enjoy....

most brides i have talked to didnt even have a chance to taste the food at their own wedding cause they were soo busy....that sucks!

^I didnt get to taste much of the food on the mehndi but on the baraat I was not gonna have any of that. I didn't eat at the event, neither did my husband or our immediate families. So after the rukhsati, we went to our room and my mom had food a lot of different dishes sent to my room. ME and the hubby quickly changed out of our wedding clothes and had a very nice, filling meal. haha. it was awesome cuz we both love eating.

as soon as we got to the valima venue, we sat down, and within 10 min had food brought to us. i had learned from my mehndi mistake of not ordering everything i want...

u should definitely eat at ur own wedding.

the holding the hand to get up on teh stage part: my hubs did stand up ofcourse but when my sis asked him to help me up, he was kinda shy and said, khud hi ajao. My mamoo then came up and put both our hands together. Hubs now says that mamoo had a very important role to fill in the wedding, that is to put my hand in his.

For me the most memorable part was the rukhsati and while driving to the hotel, hubs was holding my hand and i was thinking, wow, i really did get rukhsatified and left my family.

LOL Sara you are funny!
