Who is the best fielder among the new players of the Pakistani Cricket Team?
Fielding is probably the only advange Pakistan has gained from fielding a young side.
Among todays players, Muhammad Hafeez, Imran Nazir, Shoaib Malik are very good in the field, Younis Khan has done a decent job @ point during the WC.
Taufeeq Umar is a good slip catcher.
But not all new guys have been impressive in the field, likes of Umar Gul, Dinesh Kaneria and Shabbir Ahmed are horrible fielders.

Well to me it has to be Imran Nazir. He was very flashy in fileding.He always gave 110%
Yea...Imran Nazir is currently the best fielder, but he is not in the team right now, and next to Nazir is Afridi. Both are great excellent fielders.
Imran without a doubt. Hafeez isn't too far behind.
imran nazir lies in the same class as jhonty rhodes when it comes to fielding....
malik, hafeez, afridi, faisal iqbal and to an extent even younis khan are world class fielders....
i have heard lot about azhar mahmood being a great slip fielder but he always disappoints me....
i can easily say that if azhar is in the slip, the batsman can atleast take two risks....

I don't think anyone even comes close to Johnty Rhodes.
Next in line would be Rickey Ponting.
Actually Chris Harris is a very good fielder. I think he comes close to Rhodes. Ofcourse Johnty Rhodes is a legend when it comes to fielding. The first time ever someone was famous for his fielding skills.
Imran Nazir is a very good fielder and can be compared to the best in the world. Second comes Afridi, yes I can't beleive it myself, I actually think he is good at least in something.
Imran Nazir is very acrobtic and does well @ point and has taken some very clever catches in the past but he has also dropped almost as many catches, most notable in 1st Test against New Zealand in Lahore last year.
But putting him in the same line as Johnty wouldn't be a right thing.

Yasir bhai make a note that I have praised Afridi.

*Imran Nazir is a monkey; one day I see him taking absolutely unbelievable catches, and the next day he drops a freakin' sitter. Shahid Afridi has been the most consistent fielder for Pakistan as far as I am concerned; rarely have I seen him screw up either during catching or fielding. He might not be the best batsman or bowler, but he certainly is a great fielder. Really. People, That Is All.*
