Pulled a sickie at work? well if you have a genuine one , well and good .. but what if its one cold , dark morning and you just think its better to stay tucked in than go to work ! Admit it, we have all been there

*i once called in sick and told my bosss that my grandpa got chicken pox...when she reminded me that chicken pox has been eradicated...i was quick to add...well, NOT from my house! ;) *

I once told my boss that I had my wisdom tooth extrated and got an infection and stayed off work for 4 days ! and went to Paris with friends 
When i returned to work , boss looked at me and said , well you look so fresh , strange isnt it !!!

lol … I intentionally didnt brush my teeth for a good three days .. so even if anyone tried to check my mouth , they wouldnt get past the freaking morning odour

It all depends on your Organization,your boss and ofcourse where he/she sits!!!!

i told my work tht my relative is really sick and i have to go to pakistan.. i was off from work 4 a month.. hahaha

I have only pulled a sickie once at work and that too, by telling them that I am sick.
Though, when I was taking the driving licence, the instructor had this rule that you had to cancel atleast 24 hours before or had to pay fee. So one dark morning where I just didnt want to get up, I called them and told them, an aunt of mine had died .. !! Horrible, but indeed true, as one of my friends had lost her mother some months back. Used that story. Astragfirullah!

I don’t have to , I always have the option of working from home . I get enough vacation days and sick days to cover every possible situation.

khalil small pox has been eradicated, your boss was wrong.... chicken pox in adults still exists and is called Shingles (It hurtsssssss a lot)!!!
oh and I usually send an email instead of calling because then they can tell from your voice if you are really sick or not! and the best excuse I have ever used is when I said I am taking a mental health day.. so I wasn't sick per se but I was mentally exhausted and it worked.. I needed that day!!!!
