Farouk is American. I had to order mine through my hair dresser cause I couldn't buy it off the shelf here in Canada. I'm not sure about the Joico shampoo/conditioner. It's a salon product so you should be able to get it there if you are able to get stuff by Paul Mitchell and the Silk Therapy line. Maybe Shahreen or some other UK guppies will know.
CHI it is then. My hair is just below the shoulder length but I am planning to cut it off and keep it that way. So I think a small size iron would work good enough.
Recommend good hair products to go with it like Mehnaz did.
Cb, um, i use his biosilk silk therapy before straighting, awesome results, really makes my hair stick straight. Also ive noticed my hair aways straighten shiner the next day so i wash it at night, let it air dry n straighten the following day. Strightening can do a number on ur hair, i wouldnt reccomend it everyday.
Here u go suroor

the one i have is veryy old wider one. i bought it 4 years ago from trade secrets. i used to use it a lot till my hair started getting dry. i already have phoolafied jungle numa thick hair. i've tried frieda, redken, bedhead (tigi) products. they all leave my hair more dry n ajeeb o ghareeb. some one recomended aveeda intense conditioner. this is my last hope :-/
remingtons at our boots are £30, I picked it up in Dubai for £9.(baaaaaargiiiiiin!)
its good. my hairs got a kink in it. naturally wavey.. and it works fine for me. I dont even like the totally straight hair look - doesnt look ‘natural’
i guess the dearer ones are for those girls (or boys!) that have ultra thick hair.
but have you seen the result of hair being straightened everyday - not purtty!
my friend uses the GHD - everyday - boy is her hair ruined. she uses a hair serum/oil thing on it too. mashallah her natural hair was bootiful before she started straightening it.
