Ladies and gents , Sehrysh , whose answer was classed the best answer by Masi Museebtay last week , will now be asking us a question and we shall endeavour to find answers .. End of the week she will choose the best answer
She will come here any minute and post her question , so watch this space:lifey:
I like many of the ladies on this board, love my fancy desi outfits. My problem is lack of closet space. What space saver options would you suggest that would allow me to store my outfits without them being damaged (if you fold the outfits and it remains folded for some time, they end up with a permanent crease or discolouration along the crease or kaam).
Fold the clothes inside-out and place butter or wax paper inbetween the folds. Stack them up and fold them in a muslin cloth to which a couple of neem leaves have been added.
Re: The Best Answer Challenge - Sehrysh’s Question
I saw a few ladies lay the newspapers or shopper bags in the folds , while folding a shirt … they said it just helps minimize the crease … though i always get worried with newspapers coz they might leave their ink on the clothes :hinna:

you know the vacuum bags? I just lock away most of my heavy coats and clothes in them for an entire season... After locking the clothes in I place them in one of my suitcases and under the bed :@:

Re: The Best Answer Challenge - Sehrysh’s Question
CB, dont’ newspapers attract roaches? and yes your ink point is valid too. Also be sure to have your clothes dry cleaned before your store them, specially if there are any woolen items. Having them cleaned is considered as one of the best methods to keep moths away.
Keeping chalk (the regular chalk you write on blackboard with) with clothes helps save them from moisture as chalk absorbs moisture.
fold them inside out if they have kaam on them , and place in those see through packs suits come in nowadays , and for discoloration use wax paper as gina said. place them all in a suitcase and put under the bed in cupboard.
it might be worthwhile divinding your clothes into categories.
ie.
fancy / shadi stuff - this is all in suitcases for me
semi fancy - another trolly
everyday wear - in my dresser draw
english clothes / workwear - hanging in my cupboard.
now i dont need to go through my piles of clothes and mess everything up because i know where it is ..
also remember to fold each suit with its shalwar and dupatta ...
