Next Question:
What is the best way to reduce spices in a food (curry and/or bbq) if you have put too much red chill powder by accident without losing the aroma/texture of the food?
Re: THE BEST ANSWER CHALLENGE - DECENT 6CHORA'S QUESTION!!!!!!!
Chop a potato in to bitesize chunks and allow them to cook in the curry and they will take away some of the spice and salt. This works without affecting the texture or taste of the final product.
For a BBQ I would probably take off some of the sauce from the uncooked meat, or add more meat to the sauce so it's spread out more.
Re: THE BEST ANSWER CHALLENGE - DECENT 6CHORA’S QUESTION!!!
If you want to reduce chilli in any food , add some vinegar to it during the cooking process .. or pour some vinegar onto the BBQ grill to reduce its spices ..
Vinegar kills the chilli’s sharp taste and adds a lemony sourness to the food … always a brilliant addition
Re: THE BEST ANSWER CHALLENGE - DECENT 6CHORA'S QUESTION!!!!!!!
Thats true , vinegar doesnt work 100% with red chilli powder on a BBQ ... but if its curry or food in general that you are cooking , add vinegar in and it will sort out the chilli for you. When you are sprinkling it on the BBQ to reduce spices , make sure its in small quantity and has been left on the BBQ for a bit .. or else the tanginess will kill you :( ... tanginess starts to go away after a while, so you must leave the food for a while.
