3 more outs needed.
Man! These Cards are such a let down. Seriously, whats wrong with them. What have they done in this WS? Zilche!
On the other hand, Red Sox have played great in game 3 and 4.
And Boston Red Sox are the WORLD CHAMPIONS!
Game score: 3-0
Red Sox sweep Cardinals 4-0 in World Series 2004.
we won …we won…we won…Hurrah:nuch:
:bhangra:
:bhangra:
Congrats Sox.
This just in: City of Boston reduced to ruble. Ghost of the Bambino is said to be strangled various Sox fans. Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez found dead in a Bronx slum. Bambino has no comment.
on to NBA and NFL now!
Are you ready for some Football?
Now only if Donovan McNabb and Philly Eagles can win a superbowl this year!

:k:
Excellent series and whole playoffs for the Red Sox. I think that Manny was a good choice for MVP since he was on the billboard with a slogan of “Keep The Faith” I’m sure these guys are going to be worshipped in Boston for the rest of their lives.
Congrats to the city of Boston and fans.

It would have been a much better series if it was Astros Vs Sox. I am so happy that these Cards get their silly little red bird assess whopped by Sox. Talk about a let down, How do you not score a single run in the biggest game of the season. You know you are going home if you dont win and you show up with zeros...pathetic. It just goes to show you that good pitching beats good hitting any day of the week.
well... at least one curse was broken this year.... next year its cubs turn to do the same... :D
hey atleast now they know how to do it..
Go Cubs !
after last years heart breaking ending...i never wanted to see another red sox game but this team was so special...we got the best GM in the league...there will be plenty more championships in the next few years..awesome team
SOX are CHAMPS!!!
Wow, that was a cool dream. I just woke up and was dreaming that Derek Lowe won the final game of the World Series, sweeping the best team in the national league.
Can't be real...
... and so, the Baseball season 2004 finally comes to a close. It was immensly enjoyable, although I still believe the WS was a remarkable letdown. In my view, the ALCS between Yankees-Red Sox was the best.
See you all again, at some point before, during or after the Spring Training 2005.
Ciao!
ps. This thread may be unstuck now.

Just for that??? lol.
any ways, wow! What can i say??? Can't believe i was watching history being made on tv... live. The curse of bambino is dead for good. Baseball won't be the same anymore. Boston games in bronx will have a different feel now. No more "next year" anymore. That next year was finally here.
btw, about the MVP , i think they could have given it to anyone in that boston roster and they wouldnt have faced any criticism for that choice. Everyone performed equally well and if even one person was missing from that mix, i dont think we would have been able to reach the world series. Thats why i think they should have given it to Curt schilling. But who cares. Its the ring that matters.
man - did any of you saw the interview of Tony? he had to gather himself..to respond to the questions reporters...almost cried.
i m extremely happy for Red Sox fans - as a Cubs fan it's easy to understand how they've felt all these years without a championship and how they must feel now that the drought is finally over - i just hope i m able to experience that with the Cubs at some point in my lifetime.
(not holding my breath)
