The Barmy Army

What does it take to get a bunch of Brits back on gupshup? I miss that dry British humour. I’ve tried compensating for the loss by watching ‘Yes Minister’ and ‘Not the 8 o’clock news’ but it doesn’t quite make up for the loss Sadi Sobi, Thap and Xtreme. If any of you are out there, please let your presence be known to us!

Re: The Barmy Army

hahahha Oh god.....My husband is addicted to Yes Minister and Yes Prime Minister...I cant stand those shows...though I do appreciate British humor!!

Re: The Barmy Army

Your husband must be an old-timer. :D

Re: The Barmy Army

How do you keep an old brit happy?

Tell him a joke when he's young.

Re: The Barmy Army

Thap is still around, and I also Sadi Sobi too once is a while peeking and saying a word or two.. Xtreme’s been misssing for a while now, but what is news to me is that Thap is a Brit? I never knew that. I thought he was either Egyptian or a Red Neck. He knows way lot more about the Unites Estaes than a lot of people I know who live here.

Re: The Barmy Army

British Humour is okay, well okie it’s fun, but give me an episode of “Everybody loves Raymond” anyday

Re: The Barmy Army

tuwada mebel ki hai gi ???

Re: The Barmy Army

I dunno but it sure looks good. d’u see the one they try to sell a pig at a halal butchers? or the time they go to jail and paddy tries to do a shawshank red. on them with a spoon :hehe: that was side splitting stuff.

Lil Britain on the other is kinda sick, esp the eh eh eeeh. tho vicky pollard and marjorie Dawes characters are not one to miss. they’re too good.

i dinn catch kay but Omid (irani) is hilarious as always.

Re: The Barmy Army

British comedy is high quality humor and just too much to comprehend for desis and Americans. I will take British comedy on PBS and BBC any day over stupid American sitcoms.

Re: The Barmy Army

that omid bloke will be on the comic relief university challenge with hugh grant! must not miss.

Little Britain does get a bit too sick at times, but the only gay in wales is well funny as is vicky pollard.

British comedy requires thought which some people in some countries lack, American sitcoms are there to watch if u cant be arsed to think about anything.

i hope they repeat max and paddy or maybe do something new with the both of them.

Re: The Barmy Army

Only Fools and Horses is classic british comedy, Del boy and Rodney are household names. You Plonker!

Does anyone remember Rising Damp? Classic too.

Since these though I think Little Britain is at the top of my list, it is truly hilarious. The Pms gay secretary is just brilliant.

BTW, I miss Xtreme too :(
