The Balkanization of Pakistan

Re: The Balkanization of Pakistan

good point denanda

and who would it benefit? I mean indians and Pakistanis just salivate at each other's problems without realizing that such things happening to either country are not only not in the benefit of the country it is happening to, but also its neighbour. it only helps interests of others. but yeah lets stay as tools and minions of others.

Re: The Balkanization of Pakistan

Sometimes small countries could be easy to manage. Maybe it could be like EU. There could be less tension.

Ofcourse there are big players (mainly US) who are assisting financially and militarliy with these exercises for their benefit.

Re: The Balkanization of Pakistan

“Yugoslav-like fate” for Pakistan “in a decade with the country riven by civil war, bloodshed and inter-provincial rivalries…"

Khekeshan, your respond proof the point of the author about “inter-provincial rivalries.” Did you notice?

Re: The Balkanization of Pakistan

Why do you have such a fascination with anyone bending over and "taking it hard"? Get your mind out of the gutter.

Kayani is the general in charge, but it is Mush who is charge of the country. Thank God he was in charge during 9/11, or Pakistan may have been a nuclear wasteland right now. Why didn't Punjab cry at the top of their lungs when the army was killing Bengalis, Sindhis, Balochs and Mohajirs? Mush is going against jihadis irrespective of ethnicity, and that really annoys the pro-jihadists.

Re: The Balkanization of Pakistan

And that may be the reality that our big brother province has created for rest of the country.

Re: The Balkanization of Pakistan

Dont take his racist garbage seriously. Hes a lost case.

Re: The Balkanization of Pakistan

Let me ask you a simple question. Forget about Jihad and Jiadhis. You MQM wallas were anti-center and establishment for your entire existance. Why do you support the tyranny of Mushy and his gang now? Because he is one of your own?
How do you speak out of one side of your mouth about Punjab this and that, then on the other side you praise Mushy and his PML-Q gang who are the worst part of the Punjabi establishment (people like the Chaudry brothers)
To me this shows the complete lack of even an ounce of morality or truth to the MQM party. When it was convenient for you, you betrayed the most basic of all rights. You speak of democracy and freedom for ordinary Pakistanis. But the situation has never been worse with Mushy and his gang rigging the election, crushing the judiciary, silencing the media and now quite possibly murdering their main opposition figure.
The rest of the country will never forget what MQM is all about. And dont forget something - regardless of what happens to Mushy and his army or even Pakistan. MQM supporters are still less than 50% of Karachi (this is neccsarily true since mohajirs are less than 50% and not all mohajirs support MQM)
While you support Mushy and the center, all those people Mushy is currently busy crushing - the comman Sindhi, Pahstun, Balochi and even Punjabi will remember what you've done long after he and his lotaz are gone.

Re: The Balkanization of Pakistan

What reality did he MQM racist facists create when the targetted Pashtuns last spring?

Re: The Balkanization of Pakistan

its simple malik786, the pml[q] lotaz give these mqm guys chooran to stay quiet...

Re: The Balkanization of Pakistan

Chaudry bratharan are the chohti machlis of the Punjabi establishment. The big fish are the jihadi nut cases sitting in the ISI, army and their offspring in the form of various tanzeems, lashkars, parties, and groups. There is no tyranny from Mush, unless you are a jihadi collaborator. I only started supporting Mush after lal masjid episode, because that was the first time some leader had balls to confront the 5th columnist mullah-jihadis. He is less than perfect, but unlike other leaders who have been sucking up to the taliban frankenstein, mush has shown some ability to confront them....he still has to do much more.

MQM supports the stability of Pakistan and good policies and is not beholden to false notions of feudalocracy hiding under the guise of democracy.

Unlike the BB and NS jiyalas, I don't pretend that Mush has given us some pure form of democracy. Pakistanis have proven time and time again that they would rather choose a feudalocracy with Bhutto over a a real democracy.

Re: The Balkanization of Pakistan

Why did the ANP, PPP, PPI ghundas come with guns for a "peaceful" protest?

Re: The Balkanization of Pakistan

Maybe they can start by NOT calling the creation of Pakistan the biggest blunder in the history of mankind.

Re: The Balkanization of Pakistan

PPP jiyalay toh bhutto khandan kay ghulam hay. bhutto jis nay mulk taqsim kiya tha. MQM kay ghunday toh sirf bhonk raha hay, PPP kay ghunday na bhonka bhi hor kata bhi.

Mian Nawaz Sharif Zindah Baad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: The Balkanization of Pakistan

Indians don't want to dismember Pakistan. If they wanted to, they would have supported the various secessionist movements in Pakistan. Although it is true that India has spread its tentacles in Afghanistan and is reviving the Pakhtunistan idea in order to cause trouble in Pakistan, but only as a bargaining chip.

The greatest danger lies in the indigenous revival of a Pakhtunistan nationalist movement aiming to unite NWFP and Baluchistan with Afghanistan. This would be anathema to both Iran and Pakistan, but would probably be attractive to Western powers as it would disrupt China's efforts in Gwadar.

The Pashtuns are numerous and well-organised, unlike the Baluchis, and their participation in Pakistan is key to the country's survival.

Re: The Balkanization of Pakistan

I doubt Balochistan wants to be a aprt of Afghanistan its regretting the very existence of pakistan so why would it want to switch to another country which might treat it not very good again? balochies would rather have complete indpendence

pashtun nationalist movements wanting to join afghanistan is all but dead. afghanistan is hardy the most pro-pashtun country in the world. PkMap ledf by achakzai and ANP have fallen apart. pashtun nationalistparties are not calling for separation anymore but autonomy. although this could change again.

the vast majority of pashtuns in nwfp see pakistan as their home country and not afghanistan. pashtuns as a whole vote for a numbe rof political parties.

he real threat within comes from sindh right now. if the ppp disinegrates, it could have a negative effect on pakistan. its the onkly party with national appeal. people have been writing these articles for years. pakistan can cgange the course of its own history and future by treating al provinces equally and making so theyal beenfit from pakistan. its never too late. people should listen to othersides of the argument as to why people want a break-up rather than calling them anti-state elemnts.

if anyone thinks they will have better luck with 4 smaller and weaker states - we wil wait and see

Re: The Balkanization of Pakistan

The people who wrote the articles and made those assesments arent Jihadists, they arent even Muslims…

Re: The Balkanization of Pakistan

To defend themselves aganst MQM terorsits who were given a free hand by Musharaf to do what they had to too disrupt the democracy rally?

You people are always in conflict with everyone else...

Re: The Balkanization of Pakistan

Funny how no one realized he was a Mohajir during the first 5-6 years of Musharaf the Mohajirs rule!!!

Or did it suddenly dawn on EVERYONE after those 6 years that Mush is a Mohajir!

Wake up, unlike you, race is no relevant to the majority of the Pakistanis… We hate Musharaf because he is dictator with no regard for the consitution.

Re: The Balkanization of Pakistan

Truth can't be whitewashed away. Sorry. We should concentrate on who ruined Pakistan and fix their damage. What is history is history. Look to the future and see who is actively involved in breaking up Pakistan.

Re: The Balkanization of Pakistan

You dont have to white wash anything... Your more then welcome to apply for an Indian vesa and undue the mistake you ancestors made 60 years ago...
