so the gas oven i have has gas valves in the upper portion only!!!
how to bake things in this kind of oven???
i tried lasagne a million times but the cheese on the top layer doesnt melt
i tried cakes but they didnt raise n were hard to chew
whats the problem??

I don't think the placement of the gas valves should really affect the way your food comes out. Even older models of ovens are made in a way that ensures even cooking. Make sure you're properly pre-heating your oven - check the temperature or get an oven-proof thermometer. My oven is pretty lame too - I never knew what temp was. Plus my broiler is at the bottom of the oven...pain in the butt!

have always dealt with lower valves now i cant understand how to bake in this one....
does anyone have this type of oven??
