My mom tells me she used to eat lots of green vegies , salad leaves and stuff when she was expecting me , and her elders recomended her some petals of certain flowers to eat along with her food … I think she over ate them .. I cant stand green vegies , specially salad leaves buah .. and I definitely hate the grass and flowers and all this nature stuff
From what I know the elders put surma in baby's eyes or a black dot of surma somewhere on face or arm to avoid "nazar" or any sort of bad intentions/jealousy from others.
my mil just use normale kneaded atta and mix it with some more flour to make it a bit harder and then she rups it on my sil's baby boy...we just call it "watna"
CB, I was told that if I ate rukhi one day old roti, my kids would be fair...and if I had coconut water and anar juice they'd be fairer :@:
Khair, I didn't do any of those. The girls are moderate. Maybe of I'd done that they would have been gori chittis :D
Yeah this stuff makes me laugh. My mother in law always told me to stop drinking chai as it will make the baby darker or something. I dont believe in that. So if a pregnant Irish lady drank chai everyday, her offspring was gonna be kala rang ke?? Hmm Im sure the hubby would start wondering about his kid....hehehehehehehehehehehehehehe
^ lol that reminds me about a collegue who used to have a cup of tea every hour and when someone warned him that he’ll turn ‘kaala’ drinking a lot of tea, he replied : chaai peenay se bandaa kaala hota hai tau doodh peenay se gaaye (cow) ka bacha (calf) gora bhi tau hona chahyay the logic made sense to me
Pregnant ladies should not be drinking much tea anyways, it has caffeine… and your caffeine intake should be really low if you’re pregnant… stay totally clear of it if you can as other stuff around you has caffeine too (like chocolates ).
My MIL told me to drink coconut water and eat lots of coconuts when I was pregnant with my first child, I didn’t do it but told her yeah I’m eating/drinking regularly… my daughter is pretty fair, so my MIL was happy that I had followed her advice
Waisay I regret not doing the loyee thing, I tried but I was all alone and couldn’t get the hang of it… I don’t think I did it right, so I quit doing it after a couple of weeks… my daughter is so hairy poor baby will have to go through lots of waxing and shaving when she grows up :hinna:
