The Aussie advantage

1st Test 1st inning. No lbw when Aussie batting.
2 lbw when Windies batted
1st LBW opener. Aussie commentators right away said no doubt out. Ian Gould gives out. Review shows clipping bails. Commentators later admit umpires call. So if Gould calls not out remains not out. Advantage Australia in a 50 50 decision.

2nd lbw. Captain Holder given out by umpire Erasmus. Again the Aussie commentators immediately say - plumb. And add - no point reviewing. Clean out.

Bravo tells no review needed. Replay shows ball hits the tall holder high. NOW the commentators say - surprised they don’t review. Ball missing stumps.

Advantage australia. This time not even close.

Both times the Aussie commentators CONFIDENTALLLY state clean out.

Clearly the instinct is to declare opposition batsmen out for the Aussie commentators. I have hell seen David Lloyd also use similar approach when india plays.

Reality is - umpires also have default mode as out for minority countries.

I heard indian commentators. They were extremely fair to a fault.

Discuss. And agree.

Re: The Aussie advantage

Why should Pakistanis care after the anti-Pakistani bS propagated by indians at ICC and beyond?

Cricket is big in the subcontinent, but overall, it has failed as a sport unlike football / soccer.
