Personally I can’t stop laughing while I’m telling a really really Funny Joke…and at the Punch Line …I usually forget how the perfect Lines went:bummer:…At least I entertain myself and the others frown…But I am the one who frowns later when no one Laugh as hard as I do.
What is your Style?
1.Do you Deliver the Punch Line with a Straight Know-it -all Face?? And look at the people sternly if they dont get the Joke…After all not everyone Possess your Level of high Intellect to understand that joke.
Do you wait for the cue…laugh at Eggggzactly the same time as them(you hold your breath for it to be exact:cb:)
Punch line comes with a timing. Timings can make or break a joke. I usually deliever punch line in more of a 'fact of the matter' kind of a way. The style of telling jokes that sits very close to the one I love to have is by Ellen Degeneres .. Her timings are perfect. Next best is Jerry Seinfeld.
I dont tell very long jokes, I assume that the listener is an intelligent person and will get the punch line so I dont get into pre-explanation of joke. I dont start with 'let me tell you a joke'. Its more interesting when you catch people off guard, instead of saying 'let me tell you a joke', cause when you do that, they automatically raise the level of expectations.
i normally think of the joke, burssst out laughing, then someone will ask, what are you laughing at? then amongst my hysterical laughter i'll try and tell the joke and theyll just be like huh? in english please.
