Actually I just want to make an observation. I have a friend who, a few years back, had decided to convert to Islam. Like many people, he felt that Islam is generally very much misunderstood by various groups of people in the USA. Now the problem that arose is, being a white Italian-American, he received a few reactions from some Muslims from the middle east that have made him feel inferior. They had explicitly made remarks like, “How can you be white and be a Muslim?”, and “How do you know who Allah is?”…
I find this utterly outrageous. They have made him feel that he is not worthy of being a muslim and is inherently incapable of understanding and practicing Islamic injunctions. It is disgusting to find and hear of “muslims” who do this… It is also a tragedy. I must confess I was very disappointed to hear of these kind of attitudes in the first place. A few years on, now being part of this forum, I have grown used to seeing these attitudes in full fledged action.
It is now not so difficult to believe that there exist a few “muslims” out there who go out of their way to adopt such an immature approach. They criticise others for their inferior beliefs, yet pride themselves that they are the ones who will be saved on the Day of Judgement since they are the ones who are qualified to guide others to the path of eternal salvation.
Sorry for that little rant.
They shoot partypoopers, don’t they?
It happens andit is wrong. Why even go to arabs. Our own Afghani brothers look down upon indian and pakistani muslims and call us converts etc etc.
Completely against the essence of Islam, but how many people these days pay attention to the essence of the religion instead of passing judgements on each other based on rituals.
man sad things that attitude is far more common and unfortuntately it's accepted too. Even that kind of 'arrogance' against nonmuslims is wrong. No one is better then anyone and if anyone does have a right to judge it is only Allah..
If you can not change it, get over it already!

Thats very inetersting. I bet they will now really believe they are the original ones...nothing to remind them of past:)
Fraudia...
I'm starting to think that this kind of attitude has its roots in how people are brought up. Maybe there is a tendency for people who come from "socially excluded" backgrounds to be more angry at the world around them. They are angry at life itself. So when they make these averse remarks against groups of people, they are simply venting their frustration at who they blame for their sad state of affairs. Of course, this behaviour is not restricted to some "muslims". But it is sad to see that they suffer from it and go out of their way, conciously or unconsciously, to persist in being victims of it. It is even more depressing to see them not at all realising that Islam does not endorse this kind of behaviour at all. In fact, it categorically states that such behaviour should be refrained from.
