The argument about lack of credibility of government

The aid response to floods from the world was very low. People started giving various reasons for it. One of them quoted by almost everyone, was that international aid is not coming because government has not credibility. Other countries are afraid of giving money to Zardari.

But now aid has started pouring in. So it shows that this argument was FALSE.
**Isn’t it obvious now that this argument was made only for political purposes?

Some people like to play politics even in the times of ordeal.

The argument was right. Even now its right. Why it was not coming had two reasons.

Corrupted Politicians and less awareness of International media about the exact damage done.

Even now who are helping they are helping in form of commodities and giving it to UN rather than to Pakistani government.

Those who are helping by money and are paying it to government they also know that by doing so they are increasing the debt on Pakistan and this money will not be delivered to victims but will end in the account of Politicians.

It will be Pakistan government controlling most of the aid, regardless of where the aid comes from. Aid can not be given through government alone anyway. There are always many NGOs involved in it too.

I think the main reason the world in general is not interested is lack of awareness and being supporter of Taliban.

If aid could have been given to the needy WITHOUT help from the government, then why was the aid being held up earlier?

^^ Have you noticed, most of the aid in form of cash is LOAN and other aid is in form of commodities, which is not loan...

Now i won't be much bothered about my LOAN.. i am going to get it back anyway...

Yeah, but I was not looking for the causes of low aid response. I already knew what it may be.
