yes ppl as u all might know the season starts Jan 20th and this time competition is different.
No more can ppl say “Mr Trump u should fire her cuz I am a grad from Harvard or Princeton” because this time is the ultimate chaalenge and the question opn the line is
Doo u really have to be book smart to be a more intelligent leader
I am rooting for street smarts but lets c when the competition starts
Dunno if there's a thread on it already, but the new season starts today... with Trump pitting the "book smarts" against the "street smarts" .
I'm not as excited about the current season as I was for the previous two, probably because of the setup of book-smarts vs. street-smarts. I personally think the scheme is stupid – in my ideal team, I’d want a mix of people who are relatable by the general public and are personable (the street-smarts) with those who have the intellectual know-how to leverage (the book-smarts).
Nevertheless, I'll try to watch the show as much as I can albiet not regularly... the lineup of companies will include Burger King, Home Depot, Domino's and Nescafe among others.
NBC's Apprentice's Third season is on....18 Candidates,Book Smarts Vs Street Smarts....
Trump as usual is seen quite Active in the first episode..Giving the"Dream job of Life time".......
Money,Money Money....Some ppl got to have it.....
well the first episode didn't turn out to be as bad as I expected. The street smarts deserved to win... this was an Operations task and they handled it well. Todd was fired rightly - he sucked as the Project Manager. Danny comes off as very cheesy but in the end, he did what was delegated to him.
Stephanie is a Supply Chain Consultant - moi line of work :)
Trump is sort of a hypocrite I think. In the first season, he fired Troy instead of Kwame because Kwame had a harvard degree or something like that and Troy only had a high school degree. Though I liked kwame better than Troy, I still think that if Trump fired Troy based on that criteria, he shouldn've chosen him as a contestent in the first place. And now this season, with teh high school graduates with the college graduates. Is he gonna end up doing the same thing as he did in the first season?
Also, I think we did not need an Apprentice 3 so soon. I could have waited a few more months. it makes it more exciting, I think.
Re: The Apprentice 3 - Book Smarts vs Street Smarts
It was indeed a quick start to the third season.. maybe NBC wants to cash on Donald while he's still hot and in the news because of his lavish wedding..
I'm glad they didn't drag the premier, it was quick to business and right off the bat it appeared that Street Smarts mostly being 'owners' of their businesses could spare the time and hence Trump got some good stock there.. the Book Smarts were those who could either afford to be away from their job for so long or like Todd.. between jobs.. Not many accomplished college graduates in steady jobs would leave it all to apply for a 16 week job interview on TV.. .. in fact better business school graduates make way more than this every year..
Coming down to the game, it was clear the Book smarts had no clue.. an attorney who couldn't understand a cash register.. well did it even come as a surprise... Todd was like planning to send some rocket to the moon.. what was he "doing" all this time?.. just get all u're guys up at the register and start ringing the cash in.. He didn't even change strategies when the restaurant was full.. improvise idiot!
Re: The Apprentice 3 - Book Smarts vs Street Smarts
haha todays episode was amazing that dumb guy sweared in the board room and I really wanted to c the accountant lady get fired khair a very good episode
Re: The Apprentice 3 - Book Smarts vs Street Smarts
spoiler alert
Hehe… this was unusual – both teams “lost” – that cucumber-gay/pseudo-porn commercial was hilarious I thought - not professional but out of the box for sure… the other one just plain sucked!!
Re: The Apprentice 3 - Book Smarts vs Street Smarts
the screening process for candidates has failed.. The teams are totally useless.. if you compare the creativity and execution and the final product to come out of both teams with the near-professional quality ad campaigns for Pepsi, Levis done by the earlier teams.. u'd realize how pathetic this new bunch is..
I was hoping so hard Donald would fire one from each team.. end their misery and ours.. just want to FF to the end of it..
Re: The Apprentice 3 - Book Smarts vs Street Smarts
yeah.. it’s so boring that no one even bothered to update the thread
well Michael got fired.. he was just loitering around in every task anyway.. some of the contestants are eager to get into the program but seem least interested in playing along!! why o why do they even lineup for the auditions and as usual the screeners are stupid for picking these spoilsorts..
This one was relatively easy as Michael stood out.. Trump was for a change back into a nasty mood.. (honeymoon over i guess) and took no time to show Michael the door..
Re: The Apprentice 3 - Book Smarts vs Street Smarts
^ i dunno who is micheal cuz yesterday was the second time i watched Apprentice :-s .. too boring :-d.. but whoever got fired yesterday was a really dumb a$$.. n agree with trump when he said “why are you kissing his a$$” .. when he(micheal i think) was leaving the room with other guy(project manager) n girl .. i hate it when ppl try to be so nice and all cooperative when they did an awful job n they know they’ll be fired .. argh ..
Re: The Apprentice 3 - Book Smarts vs Street Smarts
its so funny cause my teacher's sister is a contestant on the show right now. Her name is Erin Elmore (www.erinelmore.com) and i will get to meet her soon. Will post more when i do. My teacher is also tryin out for the next season...so lets see...
Re: The Apprentice 3 - Book Smarts vs Street Smarts
that’s the lawyer who was all thumbs with a cash register in the first episode.. trump called her full of smart crap or something like that when she labelled Michael a “boardroom cliche”..
