Ok, so is it just me or is anyone also excited for the new macbook pro ?
I saw apple live coverage of macbook pro, and it looks very promising.

What are your thoughts?

No USB. Apple can stick it up it's ***. Still overpriced.

ThereThere is one USB Type C port that's 10Gbps, plenty enough for a external hub with normal USB, HDMI connections

The 12" one is called MacBook

There are enhancements to MacBook Pro 13" models. I'll go for core i7 model with 8GB RAM (or core i5 with 16GB RAm) as soon as I plan my finances.

The new 12" model looks good but then you'll need to carry external hub for external hard drives and such. Frankly they should have updated MacBook Air models with Retina display but without any such update its looks like their fate will be similar to iPad mini.

For 12" they should have made it as hybrid, (tablet + laptop) with add-on keyboard.

Anyhow Macbook Pro 13" is coming to me soon :D

I have mac but this thing is just way too simplified for my good. One headphone jack and a usb port that also serves as charging port?

I mean WTF !!! is it an ipad or an actual productive computer?

It cannot be a productive computer with the Core M processor that are low powered and useful only for nominal tasks. Apple is creating a iPad like consuming device in Mac family making it fashionable and colorful, it is no more better than iPad (except that it run Mac OS instead of iOS). With all those rich people in China they'll make money.

If someone wants a lightweight productive machine, MacBook Air 13" is still a lot better deal with 12 hour battery, except that ancient display.

one usb port ? Imagine if you have to transfer your data & charge your phone or copy data and charge the macbook or any other combination. The on port isn't going to serve the purpose but i am 99% sure the apple fanboys will drool over it for the reasons they don't even know

Yes, Apple is selling 79$ adaptor and chinese ones will be more cheap but the point is that they eventually want you to use their Airport Express/Time capsule for wireless bulk data transfer or subscribe to their cloud service and pay for storing data from your USB HDDs

ah, so buy a laptop for almost like $1500 (average price) and then buy hubs as well … believe me, there are better options in the same price.
