Pakistan has got some great former cricketer’s like Fazal Mahmood, Imran Khan, Sarfaraz Nawaz, Hanif Muhammad, Majid Khan etc.
Shouldn’t these people be running the PCB rather than some general. Who would do more for pakistan’s cricket, a general or people who have mastered in this game and have brought glory and pride to pakistan. I think they are capable of running the PCB better than Tauqir Zia.
Fazal Mahmood won matches for Pakistan when they were a team like Bangladesh and was nicknamed ‘Oval ka hero’. I think these people are being forgotten, your views?
His name is not brought up much at all, but i think the best man that can serve Pakistan cricket is non other than the Asian Bradman: Zaheer Abbas.
His cricketing ability is known to all, and reading his articles in Dawn every Sunday, I can say with confidence that he is more able to do the job than most others.
I think Tauqeer Zia has done a decent job but I don't think Generals should be running our cricket system, Imran Khan would be the best candidate but he has alot other things to do.

Tell this to THE GENERAL. Army believes that only they are most disciplined unit and can bring "discipline" to any unit/institution thats why you see most govt organizations/institutions headed by General, Brigs, Lt Cols etc. when Army is in command. As soon as army is out of picture in governance, I believe Tauqeer Zia will be shown the door.
