The Action Continues.......

The land of surprises has one more. Once upon a time two players, Asif & Shoaib who were proved culprits in front of a tribunal one day & it was decided that all the proof points towards their ill intention have suddenly from no where became angels right now.

The breaking news is that the tribunal has (God help us from our tribunals) awoken and suddenly found that the evidence is no more there (disappeared somewhere?) & that the two are as clean as anyone could be. Such is the level of drama our judicial system (in any form) creates. And if that’s not enough, the tribunal had one member absent when the decision was taken and Shaoib & Asif were also absent. So one can clearly understand how serious the PCB itself, the new management, the two players was about this all.

If it is indeed true that they were innocent, how they were punished so severely & we yet don’t know on what basis they have been cleared. And guess what ? A report of this whole matter will be sent to ICC. If it accepts whatever that will be in that report fine. But suppose ICC does not agree with the way proceedings have taken place and says there is a behind the scene drama by PCB in it. What then ?. We shall see one more drama I guess.

Here is another angle. The PCB after figuring out that we may well be kicked out of the World Cup before crucial round starts has once again, to fool the public made a mockery of justice. We, as crazy we are for cricket for sure will forget any wrong doing, if it has been done, once we get into semi finals. God help us.

And we not short of angles. Is it that all this drama was done to see Shehryar baba off ?.. If it was then, very well done all. You definitely deserve the applause. And so the drama (read action) continues.

Re: The Action Continues.......

Bhai sahab, this is an internal affair. Nothing needs to be reported to the ICC. The previous tribunal led by the fat prejudiced bigot Intikhab Aalam might have requested it out of generosity, but the PCB does not owe any answers to anyone.

Re: The Action Continues.......

I agree with Da Paki guy.

Re: The Action Continues.......

I have such a bad feeling about this. I read the breaking news report at CricInfo and my heart literally sank. Solid and concrete evidences don't just vanish into thin air overnight. Why in the mother earth did the scenes happen as they did, and the manner in which they did. It is just not 'clicking' where it should be.

Re: The Action Continues.......

Let them release the report. You guys are way too pessimistic. Honestly.

Re: The Action Continues…

No reports on case investigation have been made public as yet. what you see or hear is no less than any stinking smokey garbage from all directions (nothing new when Pak bashing is involved):gadha:

Until that time, I must soak myself in jubilent Raindance !!! :cu2: :sadiyah:

Re: The Action Continues.......

. sorry double post due to network issues

Re: The Action Continues.......

evidence....what evidence?....
the evidence was
Intikhab tribunal claims:
1. Shoaib used over the counter supplements without permission
2. He was told about the policies and signed on the contract containing the WADA policy.
3. Asif lives in a village and can't speak "the angrezi" and he took the supplement without permission

Shoaib and Asif claim:
1. Our team trainer knew of the supplements we were taking
2. We were not officially told of the policy
3. Supplements were not a banned item from WADA or PCB.

Although I have no sympathy for Shoaib, I still feel that the "first" decision was a big joke. The statements released from the tribunal had a "pompous" air and sounded extremely condescending.
Although parts of the statements from Shoaib fueled the comments on his personal life, they were still really unprofessional and not up to par with the likes of a cricket board.

As for the "second" and new decision, untill we see a statement clarifying the reasoning for it, it really appears to be a "clean up" job where the new tribunal is trying to sweep the mistakes of the earlier tribunal under the rug and giving benefit of doubt to both Asif and Shoaib which was probably due to them.
