Been a regular subscriber to GQ since my teens but sometimes they dont get it right.
I have no issues with anything else, but the leather jacket.
They are 100% right if you are not going to be layering, which is a necessity in colder areas, in which case you need to have some room for a sweater underneath. and its a good idea to try on jackets with the sweater..and other things you may have on yo e.g. cellphone, mp3 player etc.

I don't know, basically the article is all about shrinking everything to almost skin tight, be it the shirt, jacket or the pants. Don't see anything cool about tight pants resulting in protruding butts.... its vulgar.

its not about going from one extreme to another, illfitting clothes dont look good, whether they are too loose or too tight.

Men should wear appropriately for the occasion and with right colors, however, men who are obsessed with 'dressed too perfectly' are not the type women should go after.....IMHO.
There was some discussion of Metrosexuals before. There appears to be a thin line between those men and gayish appearance.

ahhhhh, so are you mixing grooming with dressing now?
you can be well groomed, nice haircut, nice shave or well maintained facial hair, clean well maintained nails, no unsightly nasal or ear hairs or shaggy eyebrows.
rest is dressing, and accessorizing, it can be very simple, it does not have to be designer, it does not have to be some fad, could be jeans a tshirt, a suit, kurta shalwar, whatever, but it has to be clean, well maintained and of a proper fit.
even for grooming, you can have something that is not in style, a fu man chu for example, or long side burns, a middle part long hair cut, as long as it is maintained and clean its considered well groomed. as soon as we start saying wellgroomed also means that it looks tasteful based on current norms, you have stepped into the fold of style and not just grooming.
