**Indus TV Network Presents The 2nd IM Awards 2005

    Following the overwhelming success of the *"First IM Awards 2004"*, the **2nd IM Awards 2005 **show is geared up to be just as big, entertaining, and above all………trend setting!

The aim of the music awards is to recognize the achievements of music professionals involved in all the major genres of music in Pakistan.To stimulate and encourage the music industry in general. To honor and acknowledge the widest possible representation of music professionals with credibility such that the show becomes an institution, a standard, an industry yardstick for achievement in the field of music.

THE EVENT will be categorized by presentation and performance, with an emphasis on good synchronization of each, e.g. the nomination will be announced and the entire video sequences will be dubbed with announcement of each nominee as they are shown. The nominees will be expected to come with acceptance speeches prepared.

To add to the event a popular international act may be brought in to perform and to be acknowledged. This could be a surprise element in the show. This will widen the scope of the show beyond the typical local shows.

right now indus network is in the works of launching in USA soon by the end of this year hopefully.

EP won best Rock Song award for waqt.

Call won Best Debut.

Jal won Best Band Award.

hahaha good one. Atif is looking like a bhangi The new getup does not suit him a bit.

Besides the best band must have gone to Strings. Jal is divided and will take long time to prove their worth with Farhan. Best album should have gone to MHB. Abrar’s new album is

Jal’s album was the best one last year no doubt. MHB was a close second. Abrar’s last album was a disappointment.

It was nice to give awards to Atif and Goher because they ‘both’ made it famous in the beginning. ‘Aadat’ almost ran away with the major awards. Nice!

Then you call yourself an enlightened fan, tsk tsk, ure pathetic, jab bezti karo tu phir roney lag jatey ho saying ure a junooni and all… Wesay ure in dire need of a spell checker too.

As for these awards, someone posted this at bandbaja, all the more reason for Aag TV to launch and replace the dying/dead Indus Music. I guess the only thing nice about the awards were Atif and Goher coming together to receive the awards for Addat.

Most IM viewers must have seen the advertisements for the 2nd Indus Music Awards, which are going to be held soon. The nominations, to sum it up, are hilarious. Is IM nominating songs/bands/artistes from 2004? If yes, then how did Faakhir’s Mahi Ve get nominated for Best Video? Was Sun Re by Abbas Ali Khan not a better video? Well, at least it was original. EP released their album in 2003, and have NOT released a new album since then - so how on earth did they get nominated for best band?
