Really sad news ... The whole city is under huge trauma, reported most of the ppl are migrating towards makli ... No emergency plan was made, deadline has been given for the ppl to evacuate within 2 to 3 hours ...

Thatta population is approx. 22000 to 30000 only, so the evacuation will not be huge problem. But materialistic damage will be overwhelming. I am concern more about the monuments & the largest fresh water reservoir in Pakistan known as Keenjhar Lake.

Some of the monuments in Thatta are among the World Heritage Sites classified by UN.

Update: Whole Thatta District not (City) is under flood threat, evacuation is mandatory. Population 1.4 to 2.0 Million.

Update2: Dunya TV reported, thousands of Army/Civilian Gov trucks moving towards Thatta Districts to evacuate.

Update: River Satluj flood warning, suburbs around Mureed-K & Kasur (Central Punjab) are being evacuated now.
