That rough clay thing

Sahar u should n ask em if it only works for infants?

im always slow..slow n steady...thats me...

TJ - They use it on themselves. Not on infants. It's like a really hard tablet of clay that they rub all over their arms and legs and apparently after a few months the hair pretty much disappears. It becomes finer within a week or two.

hmmm now we have to find out wat the tablet thing is :p

lol I'll ask them to bring me one, and then I'll post a pic.

I know what sahar02 is talking about...that pumic stone is also available at the body shop...its used as a foot.body scrubber....works great - takes away all my dead skin..anywasy i took it to pakistan, and my khala also said that is used to remove hair as well..so i tried it...i rubbed the stone my arms..lo and behold, the hair did come off..(along with parts of my skin ...i guess i was rubbing too hard)....but if you do it slowly, its almost like a nice massage....but its not a permanent thing...the hair does come back....
i even brought velvet touch to pak (u know, that paper mit that removes hair when you move it in circles)..anyways, i took it to my hostel, and all the girls there were in love with it..(this was in 2001 - i think velvet touch is avaialbie in pak now)...its sort of the same concept as the pumice stone...
i hope this answer your question..i notice pple just make thier own topics in threads and never answer the original question.....

Really mfs? That pumice stone removes hair? I have the one from The Body Shop at home .... I will test it out to see if it works. You just rub it on your skin without applying anything?? Does it have to be wet or dry?

if i remember i think i used to do whenever i took a shower and pat-dry my skin...but i used to rub it on my skin using hard strokes..the hair doenst immediately come off...i think it gets thinner first then falls off...try for like a week or two....

Its called "kacha atta" not clay!!!!!!!

Its applied to a new born infant only, to get rid of Xcessive hair. Its applied several times, consecutively on the earlobes, forehead, neck, & areas where u wouldnt want a man to have hair. Just be careful & dont apply it on the area where beard grows, coz u'll ruin it.

Yes, newborns have lanugo, a fine downy hair on their bodies that falls of naturally after a few months. In utero it grows...for warmth? Not sure why, but it falls off and has no relation to later hair growth. Genetics determine hairiness.

Sahar that rough clay tablet thing you're talking about ... its called a JHAAMA ... and its not to remove hair... it is to exfoliate areas like the heel of your feet and your elbows ... its not a good idea though ....

i guess it could take your hair away as well if you use it on your baazo and taangein i guess, but its not meant for that purpose...

its not a good idea though, it makes your skin rough and dry

I'm not sure if it's the same thing. They didn't mention using it on the face -- more arms and legs. Although I guess if you're gentle, face is okay too... (???)

hmm
yaar firstly its not for hair removal

and secondly do NOT use it on your face...you shouldnt even be using it on your hands waghera..forget abt using it on the face u'll ruin your skin...

this thing JHAAMA is made of clay and its got little pores in it all over its surface and its quite rough...its specifically for places like elbow and heel of feet which have thick rough dry skin..

if u have soft skin on ur elbow in fact u shudnt even use it there, but jus on the heel of your feet

Hmmm,:ahaa: What is ‘Multani matti’ :hehe::k:

That's it! Thanks Irem and Mfs555...

So I guess it's not really meant for hair removal, but it does affect hair growth -- however it is hard on your skin so not recommended.

I tried it yesterday and it didn’t do anything. I’m probably doing it wrong. Oh well. It’s good to be hairy. :Pretty:

^ lol, I think it will take time.

so would this clay thing help u girls get rid of ur scant goatee?

^Only if we want to.
