That chip shop in Leeds

The only chip shop I knew about in Leeds before this week was the fantastically named Ming Yuk Chippy. Not bad either but, the one I’m talking about is the place belonging to the bomber’s family. I wonder if it’s open today because I don’t think I’d fancy opening if it belonged to me.

In fact I’ll bet there’s a few shops whether selling chips or newspapers whose owners don’t fancy opening much. I’m just pointing it out because while obviously the bombers will have counted this a victory, maybe also Al Qaeda and the BNP, life might be a bit hard for the rank and file who have to face a hostile public on a daily basis after this.

Anyone like to swap places with a cab driver in Middlesbrough or Bolton tonight?

Re: That chip shop in Leeds

They've still got to earn a living, whether they fancy opening shop or not.

Re: That chip shop in Leeds

Xtremeo,

Leave it out that's not news, that guy who got murdered in Nottinmgham had it coming, I wouldn't have known that had happened had I not stumbled onto an obscure internet site, the BBC whipped the story off and on before my browser refreshed.

Apparently there have been around 400 reported 'incidents' against Muslims since last Thursday, 400 in a week or so!

Re: That chip shop in Leeds

Pah my taxi driving uncle made more money then ever last Friday, when Bham was evacuated. I'd love to be a cabbie in Boro at teh mo (but only if someone promised to make a bomb threat).

Re: That chip shop in Leeds

It makes me laugh when I hear about the brave Londoners going out on the trains and the spirit they are showing. If they had the balls to pick up three riled up pissheads and drive them back to a council estate they'd understand what brave is.

Sobi, your uncle is a typical money grasping Paki. My old man got set about by two muggers in his early days here and he wasn't bothered that they were punching him left and right. He still bragged that he never let go of his wallet.

Thap, 400 according to the muslim safety forum, it's 100 according to the police.

Re: That chip shop in Leeds

Xtremo, 300 just got paper cuts from stationary made in Israel?

Sobi, so not funny lady.

Re: That chip shop in Leeds

Paki men don’t have a patch on Paki women. My sister saw this 60 year old Asian aunty being mugged by this young kid on Soho Road lst week. The woman held onto her bag and cussed galore in Punjabi until the kid let go and legged it. She then walked straight into Milans and continued with her shopping.

Thap, i wasn’t being funny. 350 quid in one night … would take me like three weeks to earn that much :bummer:

Re: That chip shop in Leeds

See, I've been looking at threads today here and WA, and GS never changes. Everyone is entrenched in their own mini battles, winning little internet wars with each other...which is great. I just read Pinstripe Danda's defiant claim that the USA is cleaning up Afghanistan, and Iraq and no doubt Iran and Syria after that.

That's fine sitting over there in America, but here when it kicks off there are far bigger repercussions on peoples lives. I spoke to one guy last Friday who owns an off licence and he was dreading the next few days because his shop is in a run down estate where he gets called a Paki b*****d for refusing to sell cigarrettes to kids. It's probably not much consolation to him that he's a sikh.

Re: That chip shop in Leeds

Yup man I got a local sikh too, he seems to get on with his customers okay though, although he does have a go at me for not buying my ciggies at his shop.

Sadi yes 350 quid a night is good money, get yourself a badge we'll do shifts. I'll do mornings 8 till 9 you can take over the rest, you young uns have more get up and go.

Re: That chip shop in Leeds

Nice Condolence thread for the deceased; for those families who lost their loved ones... some human beings are dead and others are making money and wishing more of such horrific events.
