us Canadians & Americans here are not very exposed to the entertainment business in the UK. (Bands like Oasis & Def Lepard had a tough time to be popular here as it already was!)
Btw, some of you may or may not really know what i’m talking about…
Um, have you seen the new ‘Music’ Madonna video (bad video btw) with that goatee arab looking guy in it? I remember seeing him on the Brit Music Awards a few months ago…& i also kinda noted the audience’s reaction when he came out to present an award. I think his name is Ali. & that’s all i had heard/seen of the guy who wears brightly coloured flash red/yellow/blue/green plastic kinda suits…
Then he appears in Madonna’s video.
Who is he??? A dj..? I have no way of knowing & it’s eating me up. Some of you ppl in the UK: explain it to me!
He aint no Arab. His "name" is Ali G and he used to have his own talk show here in the UK. He is from a middle class Jewish background .(not sure what his real name is) The whole point of his image is take the rip out of Asian/black/white/ males who have a complex about themselves.
His shows were absolutely hilarious, I think anyway.
