Thap in Wales and near Whales

North Wales coast,

Near the prehistoric spine of the whale **Bassilosaurus **. The off-white colour of the fossil bone against the desert does not do much for the contrast of the picture. They’ll look better when we get them into the Cairo geological Museum.

Hmmm well… I THINK…deserts were once seas/oceans/rivers…so does that answers your question???

May The Madness Be Upon You!!!

Qrius,

Bassillosaurus, complete skeletons of up to 16 metres found to far…they were serpent-like whales…ling and thin, like giant snake-like creatures…no relation to me.

Aleezay and Madcon,

Yes Madcon this portion of the Western desert of Egypt was a shallow sea at the time of the existence of the whales about 50 million years ago. The whales are thought to have beached themselves in coastal waters…died and have been preserved.

Roughly 317 skeltons have been uncovered to date…although the richest site for such fossils is in PAKISTAN
