**Katerina Thanou has been denied Marion Jones’ 100m gold medal from the Sydney Olympics in 2000 by the International Olympic Committee.**Jones was stripped of the long jump and 100m gold medals she won in Australia after admitting doping and was jailed for lying to federal investigators.
Thanou came in second behind Jones but will not get the 100m gold.
She faces a court case for allegedly making false statements to the police to avoid a drug test at the 2004 Games.
