Thanksgiving Menu: For kids

Salaam All,
Since you all give me the best ideas in the world I am back for more.
I need something fun to make for my niece and nephew; ages 2 and 4

Last Thanksgiving I made them chocalate covered bananas with sprinkles.
Something easy to make and semi-healthy.

Thank You

Re: Thanksgiving Menu: For kids

Re: Thanksgiving Menu: For kids

you can make fruit jelly. Once you are done mixing the jelly mixture and water, add fruits like banana (sliced) , and some nuts like pistacho, raisins, etc and let it settle.

You can make potato puffs.

Take 1 or 2 potatoes (or as desire), boil and mash them.
Take almost 2-3 eggs and beat them.
Take a chicken cube and melt it in 1/4 cup hot water (let the mixture cool down before adding to egg) (if you don't have chicken cute then just season with salt and paper)
Take like 1/4 cup peas and corn (or any other veggi kids might like)
Mix all the ingredients togather.
Shallow fry them like pakoras. Since it is an egg mixture so they won't take much too much time like pakoras.
Serve with katchup.

They are soft, fluffy and yummy. Kids will love them

Muniya I can tell what I do sometimes for my kids ....may be you like some of these.:)

Chicken croquettes.....boil chicken n potatoes ...mash potatoes n shred chicken ...for a finer version add thick white sauce,....I sometimes don't bother ...just mix n season with salt n pepper...coat with beaten egg...roll in bread crumbs n fry.

Potato doughnuts....I'll tell you the recipe if it attracts you.

sandwiches with funny faces ....like prepare simple chicken sandwich n cut it in a circle shape....on the top place two olives/raisins as eyes n tomato as lips

steam broccoli, carrots n add weet corn ...heat a little bit oil n add salt pepper + cumin ...saute veggies in it n serve

somtimes we bake brownies n place those tine lil flags or umbrellas on it...looks nice (to kids that is)

boil potatoes (diced) , diced carrots n peas ....on a toothpick skew a potato piece then carrot piace ...repeat n place a pea on top pointy end ...u can serve it as it is or with some croquettes or fried/baked chicken

my kids love home baked cakes with decorative icings ....chocolate chiffon cake n pineapple cream are among favourites.

gotta go now....will post later
