What are the ways in which you show your gratitude to someone?

a simple heartfelt "Thank You" is often effective...
other than that, do the person a favour in return, buy them a gift/card? or give them a hug?

Do you think that it depends on what sort of favor someone has done to you? i mean the level of favor? That's not my view am just asking because people today have created their own standards and levels of kindness.

I always bring truthful realities to make realize that given favor was really beneficial to me.
for example, if someone is running out of time, but that person make it possible to accomplish a task for me. I will say that it was really hard for you and you even did not have time but you did for me. I am really very very thankful to you.
