I always say- "please, thank you, have a nice day, etc" because my behaviour reflects upon me as a person and as a visible muslim.

And now by talking about it you have lost whatever ajr you would have recieved for it (plus the added ajr for not recieving a thankyou). Well done.
Sorry to be so insensitive, my point is just that Allah is watching and so are the *karaman katibeen. *You guys will get all your thankyous eventually (with massive compounded interest). So just try and hang in there.

Natali to me few days ago, when a middle aged lady requested me to see her daughter without appointment coz she is the only parent and is working and can't wait for few hours. After i finished they got up and moved towards the door.
I said, hey Lady what about a thank you.
And she turns to her daughter says, thank the doctor.
I said, i was talking to you ma'am.

me 3......lol i seriously have done this so many time!!!!!! i dun believe its shyness...how much courage it takes 2 say thank u...forget thank u...how abt a smile? that takes care of the language problem 2 (that is if there is any).........
