The one I got that stoppits recommended and it does have a faint mustard oil smell but its definitely not mustard oil. I know this because it's actually working LOL. My sister pointed out my skin is a lot clearer, brighter and healthier looking and my under-eye circles are definitely getting lighter. I have to use less product to conceal now (yay!). My skin has not turned darker and no break outs either.
Since this thread was referenced in a more recent thread, What is the quantity of the two? rose hip is just 2 or 3 drops and how much of the witch hazel do you use so it covers the whole face or do you only put it on the parts that have hyperpigmentation or dark patches? the white pimples are because of too much rose hip oil?
I didn't go through all the pages of the other thread but if the naturally thinking rose hip oil isn't available in the United States, is there one that matches it? I would really like to avoid spending a crazy amount on shipping it from the UK if I can get one of equal quality here.
Hey guys, I picked up caster and eucalyptus oil from the desi store because I happened to see it. Same effects or should I order the ones you guys are using?
Another question, what face wash do you guys use in combination with this stuff? Like in the mornings, I don't have time to do the oil cleansing, but I don't want my face wash to reverse the effects of the oils. Like I use neutreugena oil free acne wash.
Try changing your card's billing address, preferably to something American.
Shipping address isn't the problem. Their payment processor (which accepts credit cards) is probably from paypal and Pakistan isn't in paypal country list so its rejecting the card.
Oils are not equivalent. They are extracted from plants, seeds etc and just like food have very different compositions.
Castor oil is very viscous and I would not advise using it on your face. It is excellent on body areas where the skin is thicker and it requires a heavy duty moisturiser, such as the feet. I’ve written a post about that too somewhere on here. A little goes a long way.
Eucalyptus oil is an essential oil. Essential oils are very strong and should only be used diluted in a carrier (can be another oil or water). Oils that can be applied directly to the skin are called carrier oils. For example, a few drops in bathwater, or if you are have an aromatherapy massage a few drops of an essential oil will be added to a carrier oil.
The website I recommend for purchasing is generally a useful resource as it lists oils on separate pages depending on whether they are carrier oils or essential oils. It also gives you more info on typical uses, the composition, smell, colour etc:
I apply the witch hazel as a toner in a spray bottle. The Naturally Thinking website sells the spray atomizer that fits on the bottle itself. Ijust lightly spritz over my face and neck and let it air dry a bit and then apply the rose hip oil with a cotton ball
I don’t think a face wash would reverse the benefits of using the oil in some aspects, such as fading hyperpigmentation. But if you are using something that is too drying, for example, that certainly isn’t helping your skin. I would recommend using whatever suits your skin but that isn’t too harsh or drying. I’d suggest a cleanser with glycolic acid and/or salicylic acid (if you have acne), I prefer the gel based cleansers. Recently I bought and have been using this and like it a lot: NipFab Glycolic Fix Cleanser 150ml - Boots
^^I don't remember whiteheads but I suffered from serious cystic acne while using rosehip oil. I gave up after trying it for 3 months. It took me a while to figure out that rosehip oil was the culprit. I wish I had stopped using it much earlier but alas I am stuck with the after effects and the scars are still there a year late.
I had the occasional pimple before I started using rosehip oil but my face was such a mess after. I had an oily skin tone when I started using the rosehip oil but now I have an oily severely acne prone skin tone.I learned the hard way that products that work wonders on one person can wreak havoc on another!
