i wonder without Misbah what the total score may be, on so many occasions.
We will miss Misbah a lot more than you guys think.....the steady man of crisis won't be there to steady the innings

Pakistan is ranked 7th in ODI, probably the lowest ranking ever for Pakistan. So I would like to thanks Misbah that he is retiring before Pakistan falls further down to 8th or 9th position. Thanks Misbah for everything, that includes not letting deserving batsmen play, just because you did not wanted any batsman in the team who can perform better than you ... chahay Pakistan ka jo bhie ho.

Misbah is steady. The ball off his bat is steady. Both stay glued to the crease at all times. Even after the inning is over.

One thing I've always said is that give Pakistan a couple of or atleast one match winning batsman who is consistent too and you'll see a different Misbah. Much aggressive than tuk tuk. Its funny I noticed that he started rotating strikes more rapidly in this WC, just when he was retiring.
So yes Pakistani team will definitely miss Misbah.
And about Afridi, good riddance!!

I beg to differ Saleem bhai that it's all Misbah's fault ..... Who prevented the top 3-4 Batsmen to score ..... It's not that Misbah asked them emulate him in regards to playing dot balls
Our batters lack the Ability, Talent and most importantly the neccessary temprament to fight it out ..... Misbah didn't request the fielders to drop catches like no other
Abilits and Talent-wise we've only one Batsmen who could tough it out .... Umer Akmal .... but he think he is already Bradman + IVA Richards in one person ..... Rest are at best county level average joe cricketers
Bowling looks much better and we've a proper wicket keep again
Batting is as barren land
Honestly we've one 100 scored by a Pakistan batsmen in this world cup and that also against an associate team with one of the weakest bowling attacks
It's only that we've mastered to destroy whatever institution was working in this country and after Hockey, Squash it's finally cricket ....
It's not all Misbah's fault ;)

Being a captain it's his responsibility to pick the best players in the squad. He failed at that miserably. But no doubt, he was an exceptional batsman and he will be missed.

I'm not sure Misbah had a lot to say in selection if at all ..... He is responsible for the starting 11 but being it a Pakistani team i wouldn't be surprised if even there was something fishy
Honestly even back home we don't have the batsmen to compete at international level ..... It's more a case of the cupboard being empty :(

all the other batsmen are parchi's from various cities. No skills, no techniques, no footwork, no confidence, no temperament.
Seems all they want is money, and visas to countries like UK, Aus, NZ, and others so they can go abroad with families and their whole tabbars.
Until you bring batsmen that have confidence, have some sense, temperament, skills and technique.....we will not be winning any tournaments. Not even T20. Look what Hafeez caused in last T20, what a miserable failure.
And now people want him back in the team, he is the real tuk tuk in the team.
Misbah couldn't play his natural game because he always came in at crucial time and had to save wicket and build innings. Why? Because so-called world class batsmen like Ahmed Shehzad, Nasir J, Sohaib Maqsood, etc and co. are useless...
I wonder if Shan Masood would've been better choice rather than Ahmed Shahzad, he is another sore loser.
