well there is no reason to cheer as in this situation initiative been given to taliban, and govt would come out bad in the mind of swat people.
what you and me think isnt that relevant in order to win this sufi and his thugs should have been came out as responsible for collapse.
what zardari would have done is imposed the nizam e adl for 2-3 months and gave a deadline to sufi to honor his commitment of disarming the taliban as we all know this would not have been possible as taliban dont listen to him then govt should have backed.
to be very frank main reason for sufis withdrawl was taliban were not listening to him he just blamed zardari to save his face and did hasty withdrawl just to get himself out of this situation.

you know although that would be the perception what we had discussed but in actual to the best of my knowledge sufi mohammed was suppose to get the taliban put down their arms before nizam e adl to be implemented.. but who cares in the yes of swatis they lost the chance for peace and govt would be to blame, otherwise situation would have been they lost the chance for peace and sufi is to be blamed because govt gave in to every demand.
and you know this was the fear i had, reason i was supportive of the deal was i saw it as this would provide the govt with a valid reason to launch a new operation if they dont agree to the agreement and every sane person knew they wont going through talibans past.

I supported this deal as i wanted to Pak-Military to focus at one front at a time, if Pak-Forces defeat thugs of FATA i.e. Baitullah Mehsood etc, then this fazlu will disappear automatically.
It is not the media's responsibility to care about the consequences of delivering the truth. They report and editorialize the world as they see it, and this included the heroic reporting on the barbarity of the Swati Taleban. Kudos to them. They continue the job they did against the dictator, which I had believed they'd do.
As for this peace deal and people saying it failing would've given Pakistan army reason and no sane person would've backed the Taleban. Doesnt Pakistan army have enough reason as it is?
