what should i get him? something desi would be great…but i have no ideas. any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

hmmm somethign desi? like an ornament thing? if i was coming from pakistan i'd get something from those pakhtoon shops u know like those mini wooden guitars, or some handcraft plate..

Another highly appreciated gift is a shawl, but maybe not for a male (?).

if he smokes.. u could get him one of those really kewl hooka things.. actually even if u dont smoke those things look really good as decoration
Get him a piece of marble made item. or alternatively if you think he/she will enjoy it, get him a $25-50 gift certificate to use at Bombay.
The least thought out gift would be an american express gift card which can be used anywhere.
